Ross Monk had an early career in advertising and studied at the Ontario College of Art and Design.
Much of his work has been painted in the Haliburton area of Ontario. He has taught at the Fleming College School of the Arts in Haliburton and at the Manse Gallery in Muskoka. His painting is represented in The Permanent Collection of Her Majesty The Queen and in the private collection of HRH The Prince of Wales.
