Rudolf Stussi was born in Zurich and came to Canada in 1967 to study English Literature and Journalism at Carleton University. He designed for the Tricycle Theatre Co in London England and then came back to the Ontario College of Art, also studying art in Mexico and London's St Martin's School of Art. When he was president of the Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colour he established the CSPWC/SCPA Diploma Collection to document the evolution of water colour painting in Canada. Stussi taught art at the Ontario College of Art and was coordinator of the Centennial College Fine Art program 2005-2008. He was a friend of the late HR Giger ("Alien") and exhibited in his museum in Gruyeres as well as being artist in residence at The McMichael collection. He also was involved with animation productions in Toronto, Europe and USA. He has received many awards in his very distinguished career.
