Margaret Thomson was the sister of Tom Thomson, George, Ralph and Fraser Thomson. She was a kindergarten teacher and homemaker. As Margaret was gifted with the same talent as her siblings she took up painting in the mid 1940’s. She and Fraser began to join brother George on his painting trips in the spring and fall making trips to Georgian Bay and the Muskoka Region to paint. Her charming landscapes were exhibited at Glenhyrst and Owen Sound in the 1960’s. A booklet on the artist and her brother George was published by John A. Libby.
